    vic reinz head bolts........never again

So I am doing a head gasket swap and I get to the part where I need new head bolts. I open the box of vic reinz head bolts and 2 where bent and useless.
    Screw you vic reinz
Now I had to tow my car to storage because my day project is now impossible and I have shitty HOA rules
I havn't tried to contact the company for money back but for fucks sake do they have absolutly no quality control

Moral of the story if they can't even make a straight bolt than why trust them about any level quality
Just a morning rant because the tow wasn't cheap and I hate walking to work

I doubt it was VR's fault.

most likely damaged in shipping or the warehouse.

It's kind of hard to bend a bolt in transit...

that said, I have VR bolts on the Slo3 car...

i've had their bolts strech. and seen the HG fail more that 10x a year.
get the BMW bolts from bmw, never seen anyone have an issue with them and that only like $10 more than the VR.
                      Much wow

At first i thought you were my customer as this exact thing(almost) happened last week This is what I got from my customer

"Hey Steve. Received a set of M20 head bolts (victor reinz, torx head) with an issure. 10 bolts worked while 2 did not. The 2 had resistance upon tightening by hand and we stopped due to fear of ruining the block's threads. When trying with other head bolts (old or new) the threads in the block worked fine, showing the bolts as the problem. I was wondering if I could receive replacements in order to finish the job, or we could work something out."

while slightly different as he had thread problems not bent bolts

I overnighted him another set.. This is the first time Ive heard of any issue with their head bolts

Never used their bolts but have replaced numerous gaskets with theirs and never had an issue.

Yeah, I just got a box of their bolts. All were fine. And I'm inclined to think the rumors about their gaskets blowing may be due to improper installation.
