PS bullshit, there is no such thing as a good m20b25 with 230k-mi. the whole lower end is shot. you know that tremble it makes when you first start it, ya that's the crank bearings crying. throw your entire engine out or rebuild it.
My thoughts exactly on using the m20 lower end. But this tremble you speak of didnt exist. It ran like it had 100k.

Just get a shop to weld the piece back in, then align bore it to spec.

      Done.

Had this done on a M30 head I fucked up. Couldn't even tell.

Then had the head decked and it was warped as fuuuuuuuuuuu, so never got to use it.

I might just tear it apart and put it on an engine stand and rebuild it. Im trying to stay away from a 24v for the reason that this car is almost 100% original. Only the trans(5speed swap), bottlecaps arent original. 8/10 black leather sport interior with heated front seats. I planned on selling it but I guess now im stuck with it.

My M20 had an original 263k on it and ran flawlessly , it's still going in my friends Vert. Wouldn't be surprised if it had another 100k left in it . Your opinion is invalid .

OP, why the hell did you put off changing your timing belt? Fail.

No garage, no tools, no time, no other legal driveable vehicle. Im pretty much forced to take time off of work to attempt to fix my car.

It only takes a few hours.. would have been cheaper to pay a shop than wait for it to break.

              I'll never understand these threads.
