Sedan is my favorite, but no need to settle for one body style... verts seem to be selling relatively cheap these days. I just want a wagon.

Should I trade my sedan for a vert?

verts DO NOT sell for more when it comes to older cars... i constantly see the same e30 verts on CL, while coupes and sedans go quick for top dollar. i wouldnt trade a sedan for a vert, no way. but that being said, im sure you can find a vert owner who will gladly trade.IG: @Baye30
FRONT VALENCE IS ZENDER!!! STOP FILLING MY PM BOX PPL!!!

If you don't like attention don't get the vert.
Everywhere I go in mine it sparks stares and conversation.
Sometimes it cool. But when you are doing 70 with the top down and people are about to hit you to get a look at your car it gets hairy
You will also get constant thumbs up from people.
When it rains really hard you will get wet.
Its really cool to have the top up and all the windows down its like this huge no pillar action.
You will never get really good car audio sound
But it is extremely fun.

Erik, that is hilarious. Looks like a big nut sack. I thought those went out in the 80's. I would have loved to see the expression on people's faces with you driving by. Is that shit tethered to the car too?
I agree with all the pros and cons because there certainly are a few of both but I disagree about the car audio. I have a 50x4w Alpine Head unit, Alpine 2 ways in the back, stock speakers in front and 600W in-cabin 12" shallow sub behind the driver's seat. The bass is awesome for such a small sealed enclosure and because it's in-cabin...no rattles, doesn't need much power, no modifications to the car are necessary, easily removed, it's tucked away and the bass is very clean. Only thing sacrificed is the footwell behind the drivers seat. Some may disagree but I think it's worth it.Last edited by reelizmpro; 08-20-2013, 10:15 AM."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

I have both. Vert is best for cruising. Hardtop kills most road noise as a fabric top sucks my balls for noise. A lot of adjustments on the vert to make everything fit together good, If done properly top won't leak. Don't leave anything in the car worth stealing. Most people have said the majority but after having bought a vert, I probably will never buy a non-vert car again. Now everything seems to come with hardtop vert witch is better."I wanna see da boat movie"

That's surprising to hear you say ...Thizzelle. Now that you mention it, I wouldn't be surprised if in 10-20 years ALL cars were power hardtop convertibles. It would be just another standard feature."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

funny when i first came on this forum years ago people kept telling me verts where for chicks only lol.
fast forward to today and verts are now in vogue, go figure ;).
best advice i could give you is by example, ive had 3 E30 M3s and 1 E36 M3 and all while ive had the vert...they have all been sold.
yes the vert has its short comings but if you can store it in a safe place, have all the seals and top replaced and installed CORRECTLY it should do just fine as a DD.
and as others have said before if your looking for attention you found the right car.
not trying to be a show off but i own several high end cars and the vert gets the most attention HANDS DOWN.
in a perfect world having one of each would be sublime :DLast edited by M3TROY; 08-20-2013, 01:24 PM.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I vote for one of each. Sedan for Mon - Fri, and vert for Sat - Sun. I often find myself pondering which one is the keeper, especially after my son was born last year. So far, I haven't been able to decide.
