i just say hi as i walk into the car and after they complement you (and they will) i just say (well thats very kind of you to say, thank you.) any other responses usually invokes questions and if your in a rush thats the last thing you want.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.Comment

I always tell them to "get a good picture!"
Then they usually want to talk about my license plate, so if I'm in a hurry I just pretend they're not there at all and go about my business as usual. I don't actually mind talking about my car though so it's OK.- Josh

I might just actually got this route :) very nice cars though. Verts are all around now and when I save up enough money i'll snatch one up one dayComment

I just start telling them the history and they usually nod off and move along."I wanna see da boat movie"

i say sedan. i have one and honestly i want(ed) a coupe so bad. The more meets and car shows ive gone to or have seen online there are easy 3 to 1. its hard to find a clean sedan like yours compared to a vert or coupe. it has more of the sleeper aspect to it as well.Comment

I had 2 verts until recently - a red and a white. After we sold the red because we had too many cars and the red was just not quite as good condition, my wife and I are always now saying, "We should have kept the red."
I've also had 2 BMW sedans, and a Miata. I loved to drive them all but the verts were always the most fun. There are negatives and inconveniences involved but nothing ever beat picking up my son after class and having all the women on the campus check me out.
It's a real value judgement. And only you can decide.Comment

Well thanks i guess hah. But the gutterless top is to be expected. Regardless, if its raining and you get out of the car, you should expect to get wet in any car. And i agree, if you want a badass audio system, dont get a vert. But why would a vert owner even consider getting a badass sound system and not expect break-ins? Like i said I'm fine with my factory premium speakers and upgraded cd player. I dont drive the car for boom booms though, i drive it for the pleasure i get. I have 25 yr old rubber with no leaks... But if you say your area is notorious for break-ins then i'll take your word for it and agree on that part.well congrats to you for living in a nice neighborhood. in the bay area, it will get cut if you have anything worth stealing. it also rains a lot more here. and i have new rubber and it still leak in the front corners, just a little. Also when you open the doors, there is no rain gutter so, it runs into the car. and about the audio, again, ask any of the audio people here and they will tell you, vert audio sucks. I sank 1000s into my audio system to get anything good out of it.
so before you fly off the handle and say what im saying is not true, for the guy who will be living in the same area as me, think.
OP, if you dont have a garage, get a hard top for the vert or stick with the sedan or coupe.

this was my main concern because we do have a garage but it's filled with all sorts of crap and have not been used as a car garage in years.. more like a storage.
Thanks man. But yeah i barely see any e30 sedans around. Mostly coupesComment

That's exactly what I meant man. A clean sedan is becoming more rare in the scene.Comment
