Anyone own an e39? I might buy one

I've had mine, a 528 since 2005 and it's the daily. haven't had any issues with it besides normal wear and tear. steering rack, engine mounts, brakes or course, vanos, CEL lights going out on the instrument cluster, window regs.

nothing mechanical nothing electrical. built very well and can't imagine driving much of anything else actually. If you buy, get the most for your money, hell a E39 M5 can be had now for like 15K depending on where you look.

I've been very happy with my early 528. ABS control module went out a few months after I bought it which was annoying but ModuleMaster had me fixed up in no time. That one could be tricky to expose on a test drive since it can be an intermittent problem that only shows up after you drive a certain distance and over a certain speed.

just bought my first e39 last week. best $2800 I have ever spent on a car.
This 528i was extremely well taken care of and is in near perfect condition.
the PO just had too many cars and wanted to get rid of it.
It drives smooth as butter, wish I would have bought one sooner!
