    FCP Groton Experience

Anyone had any positive experiences with this company? Last year they got 3 of my orders wrong in a row. First the wrong brand radiator. Second wrong set of brake rotors. Third a control arm was promised to be on my doorstep 3 days in a row. It almost cost me a driving school. Didnt show up and the night before the school I had to drive 2 hrs and then install. After I had written them off I went to my uncles to help him install some new brakes. Got the car jacked up and ready to go when we found 3 front and 1 rear rotor. Asked him where they came from...guess who.

A year later, last week after receiving emails that they had new customer service management I decided to give them another try. Ordered a guibo for my e36, suprize...it didnt fit. I called and they said i shouldnt count on their website to order but should go through sales so they can cross refrence the part. Great answer. After a few calls with no return call they sent me a return label. In my childish revenge I filled a box with a bunch of broken parts I had around the garage and sent it back with the guibo and a note. The note advised them to use the parts for their next order as they are as useless as the parts I typically receive from them.

I have never publically complained about a company but their lack of sympathy and very poor customer service pushed me over the edge. Am I alone? Maybe its just a string of bad luck.

I think you may just have a strain of shitty luck. I've ordered from them a few times with zero complaints.

Maybe you are right, I dont imagine they would be around as long as they have if this was normal.

I have used them a few times back when I had a 240 wagon. No issues whatsoever. My brother has had the same luck as myself.

Did you get the very recent email about their new return policy? Maybe they realized they had some sort of issue and are trying to address it.

        From their site:
We want to make sure you get the right parts and that they meet your expectations from day one and every day thereafter. We stand so strongly behind the quality of the parts we sell, we're willing to guarantee fitment and guarantee the part, for it's entire life.

First, we make every effort possible to ensure you get the right part the first time. But if you happen to receive a part that doesn't fit, we pay shipping both ways until you're happy.

Second, if a part we have sold to you does not live up to your expectations for any reason at any time, you can send it back for a replacement or a full refund, yup, at any time. So if you think a part did not provide you the value you expected, send it back. Its that simple.

What happens if I ordered the wrong part?
Mistakes happen, so we'll cover shipping both ways. Just give our support team a call so we can get the return underway and more importantly make sure we get you the right part.

What happens if my part fails in 10 years?
If the part did not meet your expectations send it back and we will refund you or send you a replacement. You can also order a replacement and send your original part to us afterwards, we'll then credit you the cost of your new replacement.

I have bought a few things from them, pretty good, no complaints.

Ive ordered a ton of parts from them over the last couple of years. Early on I had a couple of brand swaps which I called them on and they made it right. In the process I developed a good rapport with Mike so now I just email him with what I need. If his prices are high I tell him and he either competes or doesnt and then sends me a paypal invoice. I havent had any issues since and their parts get to me sooner since they are on the east coast.

PS I put "no brand substitutions" in every order with every supplier.

Is Blunt short for blunt head trauma? I ordered from him private sale years back. Was a good guy to deal with.

I wasn't too thrilled with their idea of packing. I orders some control arms that were on sale - and an air filter. They decided that the air filter would be the only padding that was needed. ;(

Two years ago, I ordered two control arms through them. They sent me two left arms instead of a right and left. I called and they promised to send the right arm right away and I can keep the wrong one. I was suppose to go on a trip to Tahoe with my wife for the holiday but since the car was down, we had to moved it to next week. At least they let me kept the wrong arm to make it up for their mistake.
