Average Laptop Battery Life

One battery, normal use, none of this "go to sleep after 40 secons" nonsense.

I'm really curious to see what you guys are all getting.

Please post the model laptop you have too, if you can.


Apple iBook G4 800 - 5.5 Hours

Approximate run time on battery: 5 hours (more or less depending on usage).

2-3hrs on a 2.5yr old battery. Seems like it used to go longer; maybe all in my head though.

battery life depends alot on the processor. celerons seem to get the worst life, though mine could do about 2.5-3hrs, the old P4 could do around 3.5hrs, and i'm about to find out what a AMD can do

well on my dell latitude cp lasts about 2-2.5 hours on 3 year old battery....
dell latitude cpx lasts about 30 min on 1 year old battery (hardly ever pluged in)
