Look at germany for example, must better driver training and also much more difficult to obtain a license. Theres a reason why they have no speed limits, autobahn. I would agree that alot of drivers are terrible, mainly the soccer moms scare me the most. Always merging and not seeing the little e30.

In the 13 years I've been driving I've never had a ticket, only been pulled over for a headlight out on the Jeep and for an expired plate I didn't know about(thanks mom). 5-7 over and they pretty well leave you alone around here. I do think we need an Autobahn type road in the US. One where you gotta pay a bunch of money every year to drive on it. You know, to keep the tards off of it.

If people would not drive like fucktards, pay attention to driving, look beyond the car infront of them and anticipate what other drivers might do instead of just reacting, then the roads would be safer too.

My dad had a friend who was a traffic engineer and I met them for lunch once. I asked him how they come up with speed limits, because I always speed and think they are too low
He basically told me in simplified terms, they figure out the max speed you could safely drive on a road surface in perfect conditions then divide it in half. Then adjust it for tge suroundings like traffic and pedestrian traffic.

That being said, I speed everywhere. 10-15 over on major through fares, 80-90 on the freeway if that is the flow of traffic's speed.

I keep it at or below the limit in residential streets and school zones.

It does not really effect my milage any more than getting out of sync with the traffic lights.
Pretty much exactly how I drive. 55 on a 10 lane hwy is absurd. I dont understand how me doing 90 focusing 100% on the road and my surroundings is "extremely deadly" but doing 50 while talking on the phone, eating, and trying to operate a GPS is so much safer.

Our government is full of retards.

The main problem is that this guy expects the people in charge to actually think. This guy probably put three times the effort into this video than those who made the speed limits did when they made them. Great video, you can tell he put a lot of work into it.

Speed limits are a racket!! Just like the college textbook business, just like war, just like a lot of other things.

"The Camry is an appliance, not a car. It attracts folks who have the same regard for driving that they have for washing dishes,
i.e. it's a necessary but somewhat unpleasant chore and they want something to make the task a little easier and insulate them from the process."

Do you know that ramp speed signs, in yellow and with out "speed limit" text, are only cautionary and not enforceable? They are to let you know the severity of the bend and/or changing speed zone ahead. If you take that ramp faster you are not breaking the law. In fact, I'd say you made yourself seem sketchy and aroused suspicion with such a blatant attempt at overt lawfulness.
