Cold air intakes on turbo cars always confused me.
I see them doing less benefit on the car opposed to N/A cars.

The compressor is already hot as shit and you've got a heat exchanger to do the work anyways.
A GOOD BIG filter would be something of benefit.

They are for airflow, the stock box is restrictive not so much for cold air. People just still call them that.

I agree, the sedans are ugly as hell. the coupes look awesome though. too bad I'd only ever want a sedan..

Couldn't disagree more. Standard E92 is really drab looking. The E90 has a bit more style to it if you could call it that.

I have a warranty so if anything goes wrong its getting fixed.
Has 41,000 miles on it .interesting wonder why hes happier in a slower car?unless its the fact he can say its a m ?the 335i I bought has m suspension.interested to know his opinion let him know about this post.i see supercharger or turbos in his future at big big money:)

From a dead stop, the 335 will lead the m3 but as you reach higher speeds, the m3 will pull ahead. Even with JB4 (assuming that that's the only thing you have). And if the chip is in fact the only thing you have in an otherwise stock 335, you will not be able to access the higher maps as it will put the car into limp mode

It's a great DD though and a fun car. Just be careful of the HPFP (which is covered by an extended 10yr/120k mile warranty) and if the car is an AT, sometimes the torque converter can start acting messy in the lower gears

Thanks for the comparison OP. I have my e30, but we also have an '06 550i which I often drive a lot. I love it almost as much as my e30 and MUCH more than any Japanese or American competitor. I believe that BMW still makes "the ultimate driving machine" and still has got it down. I could never understand why most people on this e30 forum are so bias towards e30's and don't like any of the new BMW's. Obviously, this is an e30 forum, but it's hard to understand why most e30 fans aren't big fans of BMW as a whole. I happen to love all BMW's, both old and new. Maybe most people on this forum don't have a lot of experience with new BMW's...

Lets see , no m3 suspension geometry, no m3 interior, high revving v8, brakes, body work, or resale value.

335 is cool,and cheaper to get power out of, but don't get carried away and call it better than an M.
