510 Wagon for my M50 swap?

Hey guys, I'm a wagon lover... I also love Datsun 510's. I just came across a Datsun 510 wagon that's up for sale, it's in fair shape. Do you think I should sell my M50 to buy the 510? I'd have to get the wagon shipped so I wouldn't know exactly what I would be getting into, the guy is straight forward and seems fair though..

Hard to go wrong with a 510 IMO.

510's are sick, but the e30 is a totally different beast.

I agree, I'm not looking for speed. Just a sweet little car that turns heads

I'm no expert, but I'm sure that's a very rare car. If you can pick it up for what you consider to be a reasonable price with room for restoration money, it'll work out in the long run. That's assuming the car is mostly complete and you don't need to hunt around for much.

Given that you're in PA, I'd only trade if the car was absolutely rock solid. How long has it been in the northeast, and how has it been cared for, ie, was it garaged and was it driven during winter?

Also, I'd only take it if it were a second car. No way I'd DD that during winter.

I'm also a 510 lover, but IMO wagon's are not the way to go.

If you find a coupe in fair condition then sell the M50 :)

It'd be coming from MO. I was originally looking for a 510 but couldn't find one so I got an E30. But I love my E30 now but still want a 510..

Get the wagon, and then save up to stuff an S54 into it. it would turn heads and be buckets of fun.

I loooove wagons. I love 510s, but if I remember correctly, 510 wagons got live axle/leaf springs instead of trailing arms in the rear. Hard to say if my love of wagons outweighs the worse suspension setup.

                              Wagons , drool.

510 wagon does have a solid rear axle, better for launching so add more power!

There was a local 510 wagon with SR20 turbo and that was fairly entertaining to be in.
