I love the 510 or as we call them the 1600 over here, you can turn the 510 into a cruiser or an absolute rocket plenty in Aus running 10's in full street trim

No sure what the datsun scene is like over there but in Aus we have maddat that the name best describes their madness

Nice, I liked the wagon a lot, but his truck is awesome. I've seen it in person before.

Now that I remember there was a '72? wagon at my local junkyard, went back a week later and it was all taken apart. The body was straight and solid and it barely had rust on it.

And an s54 would be pretty freaking sweet! I would love to see that happen.

Please don't swap it if you get it. It doesn't matter so much in something like an E30, but a rare car like a 510 wagon deserves to stay original. Besides, you can get decent power out of the motor it has.

I'm not sure yet, something simple but fun.

Rust. If it is in the wings, it will be in the rockers.

I just stumbled on the car in question while looking for other Datsun related things... Not so sure I'd go for it now, seeing the rear end all smashed in. Not sure how hard finding a new tailgate would be.

I got tired of front end tramlining and the rubber band feel of the steering (even after a nearly complete front end rebuild) and opted for a change. I have had some success getting E30 M3's to work very well and, geometrically speaking, the standard model E30 is very similar. And, it 'almost fit...

Before the e30 was affordable in 1988, 510's were a big deal. I personally owned 5 dimes and 2 of those were wagons. I love my e30 but if someone told me they'd trade 1 of my e30's for a clean dime I'd jump on it. Wagons are sick and much like an e30 they are way customizable. Anyways... just my 2 cents.
I am not sick, I am twisted. Sick makes it sound like there is a cure.
