What's up with all the even number models?

Looks ugly af IMO, the front end reminds me of a Pontiac.

I like it. It's like an f30 on weight loss pills.

I like the look, I like it a lot. It is a heck of a lot nicer than that ugly 1 series.

Is this taking the place of the 1 series? I think it is IIRC. Since they are going to even numbers are two doors, odd numbers are 4 doors.

If this is the case I bet it's RWD.

            EDIT. Yes, its the replacement

it looks pretty good - basically, the 3 series is now the 2 series..

automatic = lame but the launch control was kinda cool.

I always thought the 1 series, aside from the M model, was pretty god awful looking. this looks much better.

States in the video RWD layout.

It does LOOK better than a 1 series. High belt line still looks awkward though...

It's a lot more interesting than anything else bmw has put out recently. Of course, it is dimensionally very similar to an e46 m3. So, uh, it ain't exactly small.

compared to the land barges they're building now, it's pretty small.

I wonder if it has any of the lightweight tech from the newer models?

In order to make a proper assessment I need to see this thing sliding around corners and burnin rubber.

Can someone explain to me why BMW no longer use the E for chassis codes? I thought the E stood for Entwicklung (development), what the fuck does the F stand for. Did they just not want to use three digit number so they went to the next letter that means nothing?
