    Are MT e32s rare?

I ran across a clean e32, '91 735i with a manual transmission on CL. Is one of these with a manual tranny pretty rare? I've been looking for a winter car that would still be a fun cruiser, and this e32 is about half the price of a super clean '93 e36 (2 door) i've got my eye on. What would you pick?

    yeah.

the question is, do you want a big giant highway cruiser in a manual?

      an e36 for sure.

7 series in standard transmissions are still 7 series.

Probably quite rare, though I'm not sure if that would make them more valuable for most buyers, like it does for an E30/36/34. Drive them both. I actually quite like driving big cars with a stick. It's not the same fun as my little M42, but it's kind of pleasant.

The e36 apparently overheated once, but was fixed with a new water pump and radiator... However, seems really clean, stored winters. But it's a '93; I recall that the early e36 chassis had some minor structural weaknesses?

id rather have an m50 manual than an s50 auto. bmw auto trans suck peepee.
that being said it would be awesome to have a 7 series manual, and yes they are hard to come by in the US

I daily drove for about a year a 1990 735i short wheelbase manual g260/m30b35 engine. Good as a cruiser and poor on fuel economy, was about 16/17 mpg city and 20-21 fwy at best.

It's a decent everyday car but compared to a e36 a lot older and more costly on fuel.

My daily now is a 98 e36M. Averages about 19-20mpg city and 22-24 fwy. Much faster and easier to park also
