the 13th will be a month from when the car was filmed so I'd say either likely next Monday the 16th.^

        edit: Monday the 9th

For a late model E30 that weighs ~2800lbs, I'd say 350-400bhp is about as much as you'd need. Lighter cars will need less power, of course.

honestly im @ almost 270 wheel and its pretty nutty. If your not paying attention you can get into trouble quickly. I concur with the comment on tire size. with a 205 series tire, even @ my hp level which is lower than most, its just a recipe for accidents.

I just got back from a quick drive. I wasnt paying attention... I bring the car into boost around a slight corner and bam, just like that rear end loose. I almost ended up in a local baseball field.

                Not very forgiving.

Its not that a High Hp car cant be daily driven, they just cant be driven by drivers who are half asleep at the wheel.

                    300ish is nice.

To me it's more about feel in an E30. There's plenty of better platforms for speed/power but few for handling and road feedback.

My car is 2400lbs, m20, and at 20lbs of boost it was retarded. Very hard to drive fast. I am now at 12lbs of boost and almost killed myself yesterday. It's cold and dry in the NW, the 235 width tires just have a hard time hooking up in any gear under 4th.

It would also be worth separating turbo from NA power.

A nice, linear NA at 300+ is (generally) a lot easier to drive quickly than a 300+ turbo machine.

I think I would be perfectly happy with 250whp in an e30 for DD status. That is more than enough to have fun with, yet still tame enough that you won't spin tires all the way through 3rd gear on a hard launch.

Three hundo has always been the magic number for me.

But my stock B35 e28 is a hoot, and that's heavier than an e30.
