    My dad

i blame my dad who is a certifiable car nut (owns over 30 cars here in Wa and in Tenn), starting with birth i came home in a sidecar rig in Scotland (in December),shortly thereafter we moved to America and ever since i could walk we had various cars and motorcycles around and he was always tinkering on them with my help welcomed or not( a short list Norton Commando, BSA 441 Triumph Bonneville, lotus europa, lotus elan, Ferrari 365GT ,Ferarri 275GTB ,fiat X1/9 , Hino cortina, Maserati 3500Gt) then he got into BMW,s 1600's and 2002's 2800 3.0 many of which i helped rebuild/restore ,i decided try other cars in my early driving years starting with a mazda 1600 (bought with engine in pieces in trunk) Saab 99's and a pair of Opel Manta's , but wanted to go back to BMW's my dad sold me his E30M3 which started me back into the brand and have added to the fleet as seen in sig.

1987. I'm 22 yrs old working at QANTAS Airways N. America in San Francisco and a lovely Japanese woman I worked with purchased a new 325is in Alpinweiss and it was love at first sight for me.

Fast forward 26 years and I'm pleased to be a new owner of an '91 318is in Alpinweiss and in amazing condition. Now all I need is an air cooled 911 and my dream garage will be complete.

Got to see one awesome touring many years ago, as a Young girl. It was in 2002, the car was a dark blue Mtech 2 touring, with badass Wheels.
In 2008 I purchased the first E30, my 2 door 320i with AC Schnitzer S3 bodykit and a
            M20B25.
I have since bought some different BMW's together with my boyfriend, the latest purchase being a E30 touring...
Here's my first E30, Picture from previous owner.

A friend, back in 1990, his dad had a 1989 325iS I thought was the most amazing thing ever. I was about 9 or so. I liked it because it looked like the cars I drew at that time, as I look back, the e30 is the epitome of car, there isn't anything extra hanging off, it's not weird shaped, just 'car'.

Fast forward to 2006, I'm working at a shop, and thinking of wanting a car, my then girlfriend pulls into the lot at the shop, and asks me about that cute car over there, I didn't even pay attention to it up to that point. I picked it up for a grand, 1984 318i with BMP kit.

I'm on my 4th one now, I've only gotten rid of one e30 I owned, won't be doing that again.

This and an article online somewhere did it for me.

The old man had 7 in a row as company cars, and mum had a couple as well. Between us four (my brother) we've had at least one E30 in the family since 1986.

                    Learned to drive in a 1990 318i.

My dad, he sold one, an 84 318i in black on black that he had bought new when they first came out, in 1987 to afford to have a kid, and ended up buying an 1987 325ic when I was 13 and drove the hell out of it. I learned to drive in the car and was hooked. SInce then I've had 2 more and he's gotten into e24's and has 2 of them.

owning a e36 and realizing how much simpler yet aggressive e30's are. I will never drive another brand of car again.

When i was about 8yrs old my mother made me a deal that if I didn't drink until I turned 21 she'd buy me a car of my choice (within reason). Being 8yrs old I didn't think much of it...

Fast forward 3 or 4yrs, while stopped at a traffic light an e46 M3 pulled up... love at first sight.

Fast forward another 13 or so years and I held up my side of the deal, didn't drink until 21, and my parents honored their side making me the owner of my dream e46. Having been obsessed with first the e46s-> then M3s-> then BMW's in general for 15yrs (at that point) I always knew one day I'd have the most classic of modern BMWs, the e30.

fast forward another bunch of years and I couldn't resist the urge any longer, the e30 had to be mine, so I bought one and haven't been able to get out of the drivers seat.

The e46 M3 will never be sold, but the e30... wow! I'm definitely lucky to be able to have two cars I love... because women don't seem to go for that kind of thing

That's funny...when I was 10, my family was stationed at West Point, NY. I saw a cadet driving a Corvette and seeing my excitement, my Dad said, "if you go to West Point, I'll buy you a Corvette".....well, never got my Corvette, but they did give me their '96 328is....
