    Hey guys,

I have been working on a free platform for car enthusiasts, you can the gist of features on the website: https://www.maintenr.com/

If you ever saw some of the $10,000 systems mechanics use to manage customers, this is something like that (but cooler) for personal use to manage your cars.

One of the features that's pretty cool is export to forums. For example if you have a stored list of parts for a specific job and another forum member wants to know what parts he/she will need you can simply export it in a nice format and post it.

Let me know what you think.

      GRANT MY REQUEST OP!

Also, the captcha refresh button on the sign up page is invisible. You might want to fix that.

I'm still polishing things up, so invites might take a while but I will give you guys priority over general population.

Good call on the refresh button, going to add to my to-do list.

        Thanks guys!

heh, in my lab we are tasked to constantly break and poke holes into our site to get the coders off their asses. They dont like us much...

also if you can make this xcompatible with google docs that would be amazing (i.e. importing functioning expense spreadsheets, parts lists, etc).

Looks cool. I didn't sign up but looked through the features. A feature I think would really help is the addition of an app to remind you of maintenance items when they are due, or to enter quick notes for stuff you find/need while working on your car that syncs to your online account, since people always have there phone on them. Then they can go back later when doing a parts order or something and check there notes so they dont forget anything.

                          QA?

Was thinking about Google Docs but I doubt an average user can follow specific format guidelines (or wants to) in order to properly let us import the data.

                          We already do this

After you add a car, you add service (let's say oil change) and then you can add tons of different things to that service.

One of the things is 'scheduling' where you can add a date when your schedule begins and specify intervals in days, miles (we use your weekly mileage estimate to calculate service due date) or a specific date.

There is an option to recieve a reminder when that service is due either via a text message or email.

                          :o

Excellent idea! I've signed up, looking forward to using this for my ever growing fleet. I take care of 7 vehicles within the family, spreadsheets have their limits and if this could generate texts to family members that would be great!
