    Decreased Gas Milage Problem SOLVED!

Damn "Winter Gas!" It has to have more than 10% ethanol in it. I was getting 22-24 mpg all through out the winter, and my first fill-up after 3/1 (when they stop using it), I'm back up to 32-35mpg.

Wow I didn't realize it made that much of a difference. Then there is hope for my 15mpg Jeep.

I was really surprised... I think it was a combo of winter gas and cold weather that caused my decrease. Im at 300 miles now and havent even hit the 1/4 tank mark ;)

I heard somewhere that after the Katrina hurricane all gas companies started to use more ethanol. I can't remember the source of that info though. Needless to say, I used fuel stabilizer when I stored my E30.

Nah, its a common thing. They change the mixture during the winter for better cold starts.

no, there isn't (if you've got the 4.0). I got 15mpg all fuckin' day in my jeep too.

I'll be wishing for 22-24 on the highway when I get the Land Cruiser, Glad you got your milage back & that it was not the car's fault.

Word. My mom used to have the 4.0 in her grand cherokee and averaged 15-16.... and that was my mom driving.

I'm not sure how many states actually use 'winter gas'.

                      Haha, that's bad?

I drove to Sioux Falls from Rapid City for spring break 350miles, and got 20 MPG! HAHAHA. got 18 on my last tank, but that's with all my spirited driving.

Since I don't drive much anymore (went thru MAYBE two tanks during first semester - sits in the lot all semester) I pretty much go all out whenever I drive. I don't care anymore. hehe
