I haven't seen any notes, except for the local track/autox groups, but I did have someone come up to me and tell me they wanted to buy it....

I've got a card saying that they specialize in bmw German cars and on the back they hand wrote that they'll take the car off my hands in whatever condition it's in I just looked at the card and laughed then threw it away. I was in the process of reconnecting everything of my new motor when they left the card.

Then the other day I got a card saying they buy junk cars. I just laughed and threw it away.

Not my e30 but I was on a road trip driving through Utah and had a guy follow me around a shopping center parking lot to tell me that he was going to buy my trans am. Not ask, just tell me that he was going to buy my car. I left.

I'd get people coming up and trying to buy my e30 fairly frequently. At first it was a nice little ego boost but, now it's a little annoying. Some guy wouldn't take no for an answer and finally I had to tell him to fuck off.

I had someone offer me $7500 for my red car a couple years ago. Boy, was I a fool to not take it and run.

Aside from that, yeah, I get the occasional note saying "if you ever want to sell this car..."
