    You really don't hear much talk about the M70, eh? I just looked it up - 600+hp. Some of those old cars must have been monsters. Consider the new cars are hovering around that same mark but weigh even more. Ahh, the gool 'ol days. haha.

    the heads in the M30 arent what you would call bulletproof.

    id say the M50NV is the best bulletproof engine, no weak points really.

    I own one, so naturally I'm happy to hear that. But since the M54 is still less than 15 years old I think the jury is still out on it being considered bulletproof.

    M30 is rock-solid

    M20 also .. M50 is even better than these two
    but a friend of mine who runs a BMW garage,, says M54B30 is the best engine EVER ,,,,
    in a BMW ,,,,,

    IMO people underestimate the M70
