    junk yard ettiqute.

i was at pick n pull for their 50% off sale so i went to pick up an m20 for my 1.3 swap and stroker build. anyway one person had got to the engine before i did and had unbolted 6 of the eight bolts for the cam cover then just pulled it up and snapped it in half, took the injectors and cut the injector harness (luckily it was the removable one), but i just hate when someone is too lazy to remove that one more bolt or that one more clip and remove it properly so someone else can get their parts they need.

My local yard is like that too. People just don't give a shit. Perfectly good interiors on some of these cars totally ruined because a halfshaft is thrown on the seat with CV grease smearing everywhere.

I see that all the time. Happened to me recently when I needed a radio/hvac plate. They tore it up just to grab a oem radio that only needed 3mm allen hex to remove. Smh.

You must not have been around when they drop fresh cars. Like piranhas on fresh meat. I've bashed a window to get ahead of the guy crawling in through the trunk because all the doors were locked.

I placed everything I took out of an e32 back inside it before leaving. I'm the good guy vulture.

On another note, some guys got in a huge fight over an pile of shit Acura engine. You could hear them yelling across the yard. Two of them walked by saying how they were gonna mess up the other guys of they saw them on the street yo.

oh man that REALLY gets under my skin...
beautiful houndsooth interior door cards, rear seats and drivers seat wrecked because some knob left BOTH doors open and it rained/snowed and destroyed it.

not to mention the halfshaft and some front axle sitting from some other random car in it

Lol, we did the same. Both sections were there, but they were about 20' from each other. Decided not to bother because there weren't any alignment marks on it and one was half way submerged in mud. :hitler:

Yeah, no one gives a shit. It has actually worked to my advantage a couple times, where stuff has just been ripped out of the way and given me reasonable access to the parts I needed.

Shit atleast you have junkyards with BMW's every yard here is filled jap or American pos's and nothing German. Makes it really hard to pick things up on the cheap.

I remember when yards would just let us wander about. Now all the places except actual PnP places won't because it's a "liability", and probably some because of assholes destroying shit to get other shit.
