I hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
He definitely didn't do it on purpose, but he got really lucky as a result. Lewis was over .2 up in the first sector.
You can tell by the video that Nico was at the limit, lost it, and went into the run-off instead of running head on into the wall. I think the feud between the two will save an otherwise extremely boring season.
What was up with the cut in the feed from the podium interviews? Did Lewis say something he shouldn't have?
I immediately thought he went off on accident. I was surprised it brought out a yellow flag as he was way off the race line and down the escape route. Either way mercedes are well in front.
The most interesting thing about this season is trying to workout how many points behind Mercedes Ricciardo will end up, and how many points ahead of his team mate he'll be.

I predict many on the first count, and few if any on the second.

Shumi maybe, but can't get away with stuff like that these days.
I can't decide on whether it was intentional or not. Watching the feed live it armed a harmless innocent mistake. Hearing from brundle and Lewis afterwards makes me think again. Maybe just the commentator trying to spice up am other wise boring season as someone else put it

Still not fully convinced Nico didn't do it on purpose. Video shows him braking and shifting the car around as thought the rear was loose yet his car was planted according to telemetry..does not compute. Nevertheless I know Nico was cleared and its possible it was a genuine accident but this definitely means battle lines drawn between he and Lewis.

Vlad, you are handling this quite unprofessionally.
I don't believe what Nico did was intentional at all, just an incident that can happen to anyone in F1. The inter-team battle at Mercedes is in full swing now, these two will be out to better the other for the rest of the season. Nico has shown he's very capable, but I think in outright pace Hamilton is the better driver. Going into the next race at Canada, Hamilton has won at this track 3 times (including his very first career win in 2007) and I think he'll have the edge going for the top podium spot.
Pray for rain....always makes for a good race ;D

Just for all the Vettel-haters out there, and to stir the pot, I was SUPER impressed with him when he pulled into the pits before they retired him in Monaco. Super professional.
He started to kind of lose it about the car not working, then stopped himself mid-sentence and said "I know you guys are doing everything you can".
Love him or hate him, that's some serious sportsmanship. He knows he doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell at the championship this year, so now he's just doing his job. Really hoping that he'll continue to support Ricciardo, who is really doing quite well.
I agree, it was good professionalism on his part. This year the tables have turned on his past success.....no doubt it is probably testing everyone on the squad. Times like these will really define a driver's character.

Reminds me of the last few wins last year when he would say over the radio something to the effect of "enjoy this now cause it won't always be like this"
We'll see how long it lasts now Ricciardo has a race win under his belt :)
Hopefully this season now turns into 2009 when Brawn dominated the first 6 races, but then the field evened out after that for the remainder of the season.
