They already are. Short of Canada and the last 2 races. I'm not one to call conspiracy, but something seems kinda fishy, to be 2 seconds faster than everyone else in qualifying in every session?
Did anyone else notice Hamilton cross over the line at the start? Lol... I don't remember F1 cars having reverse gears?

What's the conspiracy? They build a substantially better Power Unit (the split turbo setup for instance) than the other manufacturer's and abandon development on last year's car very early in the season to focus on this season.
F1 cars have had reverse for a LONG time.
Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com Chief Sales Officer, Midwest Division—Blunt Tech Industries
That is the silliest shit that I've read all day. No offence intended but I don't see that happening at all.
I did say it was wild speculation :)
Still, Vettel is well known for his tanties when things don't go his way. Another win to Ricciardo, & a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes from Vettel in Spa? Hopefully Mercedes keep making mistakes the next couple of races, to keep the drivers championship a bit interesting.

So did McLaren (besides the split turbo design) why are they not blowing the likes of Ferrari and Red Bull out of the water?
Idk.. Something just doesn't seem right..
I thought they had taken it out for some reason or nothing, like to save weight or something... Probably wrong but hey..

Williams have certainly had a resurgence with Mercedes Power. Given the power defecit the RedBull has, if they were running the Mercedes engine I think you'd see them just as dominant over Mercedes as they have been the last four years. There's no conspiracy.
So how bout this silly season, eh? Vettel just broke my little fanboy heart, but good for Kyviat. Hopefully he winds up at McLare/Honda but will in all likelihood try to be Shumaker and go to Ferrari, as if that means something anymore.
I hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
And so my wild speculation from a couple of months ago turns out to be true!

If I were Vettel I'd be fighting really hard to try and get a seat at McLaren, not Ferrari.
Ferrari is going through a total reconstruction of the entire team, and is going to feel some growing pains from it. Whereas with McLaren, Honda was smart to learn from the other engine manufacturers and develop their engine further than the other teams.
Honda might not be the best at building a chassis, but they sure know how to build a good power unit, pair that with the relationship that they have with McLaren, and I think they are the team to beat in 2015.

I would LOVE to see Vet and Alo team mates at McLaren but that would have to mean dumping But which would suck, but I agree they're going to really have something going on with Honda on board.

I think it will be Alonso to McLaren, and Button loses his seat.
I think Button has lost his edge since the passing of his father. Extremely unfortunate, but he was having problems before then. He's been on a downward slop ever since his championship season with Braun GP, and his father passing away has now just compounded it.

You would have 2008 (iirc) all over again, Alonso likes having the #1 seat, which was the reason why Alonso had issues at McLaren last time. Alonso would have a contest over the #1 seat with Vettel, much like he had with Hamilton. That is the last thing McLaren wants, so it is in their best interest to choose one of the 2 (I'd personally take Vettel over Alonso).
Alonso wouldn't have to fight for the lead driver position with Magnussen.
Plus Magnussen has 2 years on his contract I believe, by that point, Vettel would be settled into Ferrari (assuming that's where he goes) and would not be looking to go anywhere else.
On another note, god speed for a good recovery to Jules Bianchi, he will be in my thoughts and prayers. That's something you never want to have happen in racing. The look on the drivers faces' said it all.
Love to see Alonso lose his seat altogether. Vettel signs with ferrari and Dennis backs out of contract negotiations with Alonso for what he did to McLaren in 2007. Wont happen but, a guy can dream. I wouldnt be shocked if it were KR who was the odd man out. He has been the dissapointment of the year so far. Honestly and realisticaly Alonso will be with McLean again as he is the best at getting performance out of a sub par car. Honda will be no doubt wanting him in their car. Honda may very well have the best powerplant next season with their extra year of development.
Thoughts with JB, but really hope the FIA dont do away with local yellows. That would be a shame. Conditions really weren't that bad as nobody was even on full wets at the time. Doing away with yellows only under wet, or known oil on track would be a fair comprise.
If they go to three cars teams would that end Haas F1? It would be hard to field 3 cars in your first year.

Ahh 2007, had my years switched up. But the only way that would happen is if Vettel managed to slip into McLaren, which is what he should be trying to do, and if someone like Hulkenberg or even Bianchi (he was a part of Ferrari junior, and did some testing in it earlier this year?) moved into Alonso's spot at Ferrari. Fernando won't want to go to a team like Force India who isn't a top tier team.
I could see maybe full yellows when wet or oil/debris on track, but going away with local yellows is ridiculous, F1 tracks are plenty big enough to race on one section, and be under yellow in the next. Maybe a solution is making the local yellow bigger? Have then throw the yellow several corners earlier, giving drivers time to see and react to the yellow. Aren't the guys communicating with the drivers supposed to inform them of this stuff? So they are aware when they arrive at the section.

Did he go under the loader? I remember a few years back, (maybee spa 2008) where 3,4 cars went off and one gently nudged a loader at the the end of la source maybee.
The track should be able to control the amount of throttle or speed in a local yellow area. Like they do with indoor go karts, this could help take away any grey area as to how slow to go in a local yellow. Its an idea, not sure how feasible it would be.
