I love how Mercedes is saying that unfreezing the engines will ruin the sport. Of course Mercedes doesn't want them to unfreeze the engines. When you can pretty much walk to a victory why would you want anything to change?

I doubt they will get to 15k due to the fuel flow limit they have, they just can't justify revving that high because there is no power to gain due to the lack of fuel flow. I don't really understand what they hope to accomplish with fuel flow maxes. I also think this year was a letdown due to the little fuel they get, they can only push a lap or 2 before they have to back off to conserve fuel, being critical on fuel 5 laps in is ridiculous.

I agree completely. They are killing the sport by trying to go "green". DTM is pretty good, although BMW is bending everyone over and Audi is most likely leaving in 2016. And Tudor (what is now the conglomeration of ALMS and Rolex) has been a headache. Hopefully next year will be better for Motorsport as a whole.

Probably won't ditch the sport, but I agree, this season has been kind of shit.

the race between the two mercedes has been pretty epic. its unfortunate that the other teams were unable to be competitive, but the racing between the individual cars on the track and how they handle has made for better racing in my opinion.

even though the lower downforce has made for less impressive lap times, the skill required to actually drive the car on the limit has become more evident.

as for the technology - screw green, whatever. i do think however, that the advancing technology is exciting; that the potential torque and horsepower gains that come with the electric engine could be very rewarding; and that a move to electric vehicles will reduce the number of world conflicts associated with oil resources.

- and not to mention drastically reduce the demand and cost of gas so that i can drive my 325is more often :D

Well. . . let's just call it a wash and hope for a better 2015 season. I think standing safety car restarts are going to be a complete mess. McLaren/Honda have a chance to be a top 3 team next season if they have the right drivers (aka Button/Alonso). Williams is strong with Bottas. Mercedes can comfortably coast into next season with the lead they have. Red bull could get shafted again next year by using a Renault v6, which sucks because Ricciardo is the best driver on the grid in my eyes. And with a 17 year old behind the wheel at toro rosso, things could be dicey.

You obviously havnt seen the checkbook he carries. Agreed pay drivers do suck and create a bit of a rolling road block. Riccardo was heads above everyone this year. Interested to see what direction RBR go3s without Newey manning the helm.

Shocked that Brawn has not even been mentioned with Mercedes succes this year as he is basically the guy responsible for it. Wolf has just been lucky to ride in on his coat tails.

Sauber and Kimi were massive dissapointments. Maybee its just me but it seemed Kimi lost his aggression since his feturn, same for Schumacher. They both seemed to be gentler drivers on their second go around.

What does his checkbook does have anything to do with me being impressed with him? Sure he's stacked, doesn't changed the fact that I'm not impressed with his driving. He's been underwhelming in testing, and him crashing the old car in a demonstration made him look like a fool.

Who are they gonna have along side him? Since they told JEV that they were shafting him earlier in the year, and they moved Kvyat up with Ricciardo. Did they already announce a new driver and I just missed it?
