    All e30 hoods misaligned?

On the SuperETA im debating purchasing, the front of the hood sits a little bit lower than it should to be perfectly even with the fenders. The hood cable is broken so i thought the guy screwed up the hood, but I noticed several pics of members cars that have the same 'problem'. Is this natural?

no,just very few people take the time to align the hood properly(myself included)

Same here. After working on your car for hours on end the last thing you take the time for is to attach your hood so its perfectly lined up.

Mine is perfectly lined up.. without the evo hood seals.

Its just about impossible to make it sit perfectly flush on the fenders with them in place and not be dipped at the headlight grills.

The hood is supposed to be a little bit lower than the fenders. If you look in the Bentley manual, you will see that the hood is supposed to be about 3mm lower than the feders.

                  (I don't know why though).

Hell, I just mark it with a sharpie and line up the marks. Takes about 2 minutes with a couple of extra people to help hold the hood, and works great every time.

it's pretty easy to adjust the front of the hood (the litte bump stops move it up and down, hinge bolts to move it back/side), I don't see what the big deal is. mine is pretty much aligned dead on, although it's dented and chiped to hell :P
