A year ago I did looked into Garys diff mount. I was looking for some thing like the Mz3 diff cover with bigger fins and a little more oil capacity.
also was think about buying Vac oil cooler kit to keep temps down for my s54 turbo e30.

James up dated some pics on my earlier post.

Why not build the diff first?

Pointless to have that much fluid if you don't have the item inside that requires it.

Really nice modern diffs don't even need coolers; the internals are updated for cooling and lubrication.

Cooler and extra capacity of any sort = liability on a race car

Nice pretty fab work though :)

Why do you need fins, when with that set up you can run extra fluid and an oil cooler?
            weight and complexity.

Of course, a Pro3 car with an LSD 'barely' needs this, on a street car it's just for fun.

I'm saying build the lsd first; a Billet cover is not impressive. ;)

Lots of people make things from billet - not just you :)

At what point are the double mounts necessary? Did the hi-po m30 e30 cars really experience mount failure therefore requiring the dual mounts or was it more of an over kill bling thing that made Hartge money?

Z3m single seems to live at under 400rwhp

At LS2 torque or 400rwhp double ear would be a nice thing to have

Local LS7 E30M is using garrets bolt on item with z3m cover

E36m track cars with 290rwhp will break an ear on the original double ear cover.

188mm aftermarket Rogue cover can take over 1,000rwhp.
