    Scrap The ETA, and give your car a tune up.

    And change your diff.
    I already replaced the 02 sensors. New MAF and ecu. No chip tho. Teach me your ways, I rarely thrash my car, and this is kinda bullshit. Best I've ever gotten was 24mpg, 90% highway with 93 octane 100% gasoline.

      Yeah bud, your motor must be very tired or your car very heavy. I have a 318is m20 with a 4.10 on long road trips I get 27-29 mpg @70-75mph gps verified, motor rebuilt <35k miles ago. Only mods mustang 4 pintle injectors, 93 oct chip, m30 afm.

        Your car has an AFM not a MAF. No reason to run 93 if you aren't tuned, that's just hurting your mileage. What you need to do is swap that rear diff. Throw some seafoam then restore through your car, small investment that might help out.

I am sure that you can find other 'jobs' out there that will pay better, but you need to look harder. Question is, do you know what you really want to do, or want to be?

              But if you choose to stay in your current job, the best thing to do is to maximize your earnings by going on different modes of transport, namely:
              a. a bike
              b. public transpo
              c. motor cycle
              d. a hybrid
              e. a Honda or Toyota

              As you can see, there are a number of better options than the E30. You can consider these types of transpo depending on location, travel time, but most importantly, cost. The savings that you will get is something that you can use for other things too i.e. an education i.e. fixing cars, an investment in a small business, etc. Start early and save. Prudence and delayed gratification will go a long way in letting you enjoy an E30 in the future. E30s are not cheap to maintain and run daily. The best ones we've seen here run about 22-28mpgs, so 30mpgs are a stretch, and 40mpg is a pipe dream. Quickest solution as mentioned is to change differential, perhaps to 3.73 or even a 3.25, but we're talking minimal savings compared to what you'll spend.
              public transport?

              only if people want their food delivered, cold, 3 hours after they wanted to eat it.

              an expensive Toyota or Honda is going to take an awful long time to pay off with the meager savings in fuel over an eta.

              your only suggestion that makes even a little sense is a motorycycle.

              spending $5-10k on a car to save $500 a year in fuel is ridiculous.
