How many Is Lips have you tossed?

I saw was reading the thread about how many E30s we've sent to the crushers and it made me wonder how many is lips have gone in the trash too.

I personally have ran over 3 is lips, 2 Ryan G splitters, and 1 early model lip.

How about you guys?

Not me, but we lent our extra e30 to my grandparents and so far they have lost one IS lips and one regular lip. Where they went, no one will ever know.

I've always wondered how people lost iS lips on stock E30's. I feel like you actually have to put conscious effort into losing it...

Curbs. Old people love to park right on top of curbs outside their favorite walgreens or denny's. They just keep going till they feel the car stop against them, while being completely oblivious to the fact, since they're used to their old '78 crown vic with it's nose 2ft in the air.


I'm on my first (OEM) iS lip. I've had it ripped off a couple times in the snow but it's just fine. Hopefully my luck will last...

Back in HS I remember seeing this old lady that would park behind trash bins. When she leaves she just rams the trash bins with her car.

i ran over my last lip. it is still in one piece but the top pastic mounting edges on the lip are toast.

Zero on stock suspension, zero lowered.

But, I nearly lost one last year when a nice size chunk of rubber impacted the the lip after being tossed from or by the tires of a truck, I think it broke 4 or 5 clips.

Basically, park carefully and don't drive like a BMW owner in general.

I have mine zip tied in place as a little extra security. If you're autoxing and tag a cone pretty well it definitely wants to come off. I've drug it back to grid but never lost one, there or on the street.
