my wife hates my E30, but I always figured I could convert her if I put in heated seat inserts. she's the kind of girl who gets cold and needs a sweater when it's 75 degrees outside.. it just seems like something that she would like!

We all have woman like that. My Gf refuses to ride with the top down with out putting her hair up, putting on the wind deflector and cranking up the heat.

I'm very interested too. Wondering how hard the install would be, but seeing how simple E30's are, shouldn't be too bad.

It's fairly straight forward. I will write up a detailed installation guide to send with the package and one under the DIY section.

I would imagine vinyl being fine. My buddy has a 07 jetta with heated vinyl seats and they haven't melted, but then again that car is over 20 years newer.

That's one of the reasons I'm prototyping a few sets on different style seats and upholstery before I begin selling these.
