my wife hates my E30, but I always figured I could convert her if I put in heated seat inserts. she's the kind of girl who gets cold and needs a sweater when it's 75 degrees outside.. it just seems like something that she would like!

We all have woman like that. My Gf refuses to ride with the top down with out putting her hair up, putting on the wind deflector and cranking up the heat.

to OP: +1 for people interested in such a kit
when you say would work with any seats... would that include comfort vinyl? i have this vision of vinyl melting, maybe thats just me being a noob

I would imagine vinyl being fine. My buddy has a 07 jetta with heated vinyl seats and they haven't melted, but then again that car is over 20 years newer.
