Bmw took care of that with lightening the car like crazy with a lot of carbon fiber and if it wasn't needed to run it wasn't on it. If you look at the interior it's kinda bare same with the engine bay. I mean it's no e30 but it's a lot lighter than any 8 series.

I'm not saying they didn't lighten it, but a stock 8 series weighed over 1,000lbs more than an F355 which would apparently have been the M8's competition. That means a 25% reduction. I'm not saying it isn't possible or didn't happen, I just don't think the car really fit the bill.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? If the M8 (or 8 series in general) looks good today, then that shows it was ahead of its time. I would love to own one some day. the new 4 series reminds me of the E31's.1989 325i - 2.7i, Holset H1C, 60lb injectors, whodwho MS-PNP.
