Fox Mustang costs more in maintenance than a Miata or e30 because of the weight. They go through tires and brakes a lot faster. I would say e30, and years ago that's what I bought. Then I sorta lost the track bug. But the Spec e30 suspension setup works pretty well and it's not horribly expensive. Check lap times. Spec e30 is just as fast as Spec Miata on most tracks.
The e36 M3 brakes are downright awesome but a good e36 will be too expensive.

Settled it. Bought a 1992 325i for $2k over the iWeb last night. Straight, no rust, runs. Had a friend move it to a parking structure where I kept the 355. Hope it doesn't get stolen.
Plan on parting out what I don't need when I'm back in the states and putting shit together. Weight loss where practical, safety equipment, brakes, good tires are first. Will drive the non-Vanos lump until it's useless and then if I'm good enough behind the wheel look at other options.
Probably going to cost more than I wanted to spend, but what the fuck doesn't?2011 1M Alpine white/black
1996 Civic white/black
