$5k track car

Moving back to the States next month. Want a $5k car for Speedventures events and occasional auto-x. Have come up with this shortlist - what looks good?

Thought about E30s, but while point of entry is cheap the upkeep prices for a tracker are beyond what the woman will put up with.

Power isn't important, I just want to have the fun.

Id personally be between a miata, or an e30 at that price range.

Edit: I voted Fox body. But you should add miata in there as well.

Voted mustang due to availability and aftermarket support, but there are some other options like a miata,or even a s-10 or ranger.
