Pros for e36
-Can run 255 tires vs 225 for e30 without major body work
-36 tires options at that size vs 4 for e30
-Can use stock brake booster vs running manual brakes or hydroboost for e30
-More engine bay space = more space for manifolds/downpipes
-Stronger rear end
-Ls1 swap has been done quite a few times so there is a lot more info
Pros for e30
-Better Looking
-Already have a fully re-built car
-Lighter
-Handles Great
325 just cause of the medium case diff. E30 can handle the "power" just fine. All these people talk about it but none have ridden in one much less driven one. They are fun and still nimble. Will they blow the tires if you want? Yup but so did my other cars. My car is now 525rwhp, does 80mph at 1700rpm and gets 20+mpg. Its a fun car and worth the work.

Just do it! LS motors are too much fun! I drove my truck last weekend and had a "wow, my e30 is slloooww" moment...
Oh and those that say that e30 brakes suck, a wise member once said something along the lines of "just delete the brakes, they will only slow you down!"
Ford didn't have a good V8 in any mustang until the Coyote engine, IMHO. with the obvious exceptions of the Terminator and Cobra R New Edge's, that is...
If you were arrested for being a good mechanic, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
