        i did that 3 times, then blew up a motor. i know have a very thick skid plate.

                    Not positive, but I think so. The 318is I was under the other day looked like the lower pan sat almost 3" below the subframe. Seemed to be lower than the 'is' lip on the valance.

                      My pan is lower than the center part of the iS lip but not the sides. In either case, both are damn low!

                        I meant it actually seemed lower than the sides of the lip even.

                        Seems like all dumped M42 cars are ticking time bombs.

                            Its hard to compare heights since our ride height is relative. Mine is less than 3" but FL is about as flat as Natalie Portman.

                              The previous owner broke the oilpan on my m42 and had the motor replaced because he kept dirving like a douche...
