    I wave if I think I can get the owners attention, but without fail, everytime I see one in the wild, I let out a high pitched squeal noise that I would think in text looks like....

    I always wave to the local e30 tuner/enthusiast crew I can see. As far as normal e30s and newer cars, they don't know zjeg. Unless an e32+ waves first, I won't wave, but will make exemptions for obvious enthusiast cars like e28/e34 M5s. Sometimes even e30 guys are douchers about it, but a majority of guys I rev or wave at will reciprocate.


    A lot of Miata guys wave me down aswell, but they are usually the first to do so. I'm not a douche about it, so I'll wave back most times

    Yeah true about newer cars. Most of the one's I see around here are driven by wealthy moms on the way to yoga anyway. There are a few enthusiasts though. one of my neighbors has 2 e34 (?)'s and we always wave.

    Any e30 that has survived this long around here deserves a wave. I see like one other e30 a week, sometimes less.

    I also wave at any other bmw that looks to be owned by an enthusiast.

    I gave up on newer cars, because 99% of them couldn't give a fuck about an e30 waving to them. The only exception is some young guy with a new M6 who always waves.
