So let me get this strait, your Original auto failed, bought another one and installed it all while planing on doing a Manual swap, and still want to.

Yup we just looked for the quickest fix but we want a 5 speed.

89+ autos came with 4.10s if i recall. my 88 came with a 3.73. +1 on wheels. Im in the same boat my auto tranny took a dump need, going 5 speed end the headache with old auto trannys.

Swap the 2.5 or put a turbo. That or a 7mgte that we got seating in the supra.

Ok so I was thinking there's a couple off ebay turbos has anyone done a build with one and how's the power difference. I would think that u would need oil lines and a oil coolant plus the the intercooler but would need to swap out the mass air flow sensor.

you have an almost 3000lb car, 170 hp (probably more like 140 now) and an automatic.. your expectations may be slightly high here...

and if your looking up turbo parts on ebay, just stop now.. youll be swapping the engine next

So I was talking to my brother and he said I could buy his 1987 toyota supra with a 7mgte and the I'm going to put his built 7mgte into the bmw I know ur all going to hate me for it. Lol 5 speed manual car has lots of upgrades.
