    The M70 may have started out as two M20's but very little is similar with it. The geometry is about all they share. But they do have 2 ECU's, two fuel pumps, two everything really.

      Also that v12 badge isn't OEM, some eBay badge if you will.

        I would love to swap an LS into one of these. Could be a monster top speed car. Think salt flats and parachutes..

                I've seen only a handful of these but the only 2 I saw that were manual was at Castro Motorsports in Hollywood and also at Bimmerfest last month. I think they're cool to the right person but not really my style.

                    Be ready to rebuild the motor. Because the sulphur in gasoline corrodes the head, because the sulphur reacts with the nikasil head.

                          I'm pretty sure they have 3. 1 for each bank, and 1 to make the two banks talk to each other. But yeah, they have 2 of almost everything and it's a royal pain in the ass to work on. We had 2 e31s in our shop at one point, both 850i's with manual transmissions. They were fun to drive and comfortable, but overall just felt fat and a little sluggish. I would love to take it on a long road trip though.

                            From what I've read the Nikasil issue was isolated only to M60 engines and European M52s.

                              I thought it was M60s and M70s, I may be wrong.. But I thought both the x40i and x50i both had the nikasil... Id have to do some reading to be sure thought

                                850's are booty. It had the potential to be a lot more but somehow it really unimpressed.
