chances are if the ball joints are worn out then the control arms have bent out of shape over time. good chance they wont go back into the control arm bushings once you get the new ball joints back in them. my friends car was in my garage on jack stands for two weeks when we tried this because he had to order control arms.BroWorks.com Bro is a lifestyle

WTF are you talking about?
Control arms don't "bend over time" and i would much rather keep my original BMW arms than run some arms made who knows where to someone else's standards. Grab some OEM lemforder joints and press them in.
Can't get the control arm into the CAB ? You're not trying hard enough.
OP, any machine shop or decent mechanics shop should be able to do this for you. It is not a big deal.

Most of the large chain auto parts stores will "sell" you a press kit, and refund you the total amount when you return it. Pressing them isn't that hard. Use liquid dish washing soap to press the new ones in. If the old one is worn out, it will press out fairly easily after spraying with PB Blaster or something like that.

"Control arms also take abuse from impacts and handling forces. Aluminum control arms will generally bend and prevent an accurate alignment. Steel control arms will crack and fracture and require close inspection annually and replacement every 3-4 years."BroWorks.com Bro is a lifestyle

I'm just wondering how your control arms were bolted to the frame rail with AKG bushings while they were "bent over time", then you weren't able to bolt them back up again. Are you sure you didn't mess something up, like in an accident?sigpic

The only cars control arms bend on are e30 tourings......Jerry....and that's to fit them between the taillights that are one piece.sigpic
