All of that just to prove that intakes (filters) don't do crap on E30's. -
With my old eta engine, I got an extra 3.2 RWHP and 1.7 RWT with the air filter removed (stock airbox).Comment

Doh, forgot to update.
The M3's airhorn doesn't fit onto the m20's airbox, plus I forgot that M3's had larger airflow meters so the airhorn is larger in diameter than the m20's so it wouldn't do much good if it did fit.
