    Nurburgring

    Hello fellow enthusiasts,
I'm leaving for germany soon for a family reunion and I'm only going to be an hour away from Adenau.
Since doing a few laps around the nurburgring nordschleife is on my bucket list i'm trying to find out what the best options are.
I don't have a car in germany and I would prefer not to spend a load of money on the rent a car they have in place.
    Suggestions?

Just post a car I borrow your e30 m3 thread. Surely someone will be cool with that.

lol. yeah, I'm sure some guy is just going to let a random tourist hoon their $25k E30 M3 around the 'ring. how would you handle insurance or a total loss?

Either get a cheap beater that you can discard or pay for the rental. that's the only way it will happen. how much is a lap in the 'ring Taxi?

Rent a car from those places, just get something basic. I drove a prepped VW Polo and it was awesome. If I go again I'm going to rent the FT86 or whatever the new Toyota is called in the rest of the world. The Ring Taxi is more expensive than driving it yourself

Looks like its 480 euro's for half a day including a suzuki suift stage 2, am I reading this right? It seems like a good price, what scares me is all the fees if there is an accident. I have done lapping before but that track is just difficult to judge, its easy to make mistakes

Don't drive on a Sunday. I was there 3 weeks ago and was hounded by McLaren's, Ferraris and a slew of 911's. That all sound very angry at full boil right behind you. Fantastic experience though,

I rented the Toyota XX86 which was alright. Rented from RSNurburg. Great guys willing to help.

This is definitely on my bucket list, I plan to save atleast 5k for the ring, just so I can go more than once!

I did 4 laps and it was a blast, much cheaper than the half day. Also I was passing those Suzukis like they were ... Suzukis
