Got to admit that Eta Turbo is one clean set up. I like the aluminum ducts that cleanly intergrate into the headlight backing plates.

It's beautiful. I am amazed that someone would put such time, effort and money into the project and then put an intercooler in the engine compartment! But I guess the good looks make up for the inefficiency of the system. Is that a Dinan system? They always put intercoolers in the engine compartment.

From my understanding the red car was built entirely by Dinan. I really don't know many more details about it.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

Yes, the red car was built by Dinan. The owner is a friend of Steve Dinan himself. It puts out 320hp (12psi) on street gas, and 400hp (18psi) on race gas. It uses half of a BMW 850i engien management. The intercooler flows really well actually, it has custom panels to direct the air. It is 20in long, and 6 or 8" thick! it is also 6 or 8" wide.

Thanks for the info Matt. 320rwhp on 12psi? That's a huge number. What's the displacement? Where does the intercooler go? 20 inches? I can only see 8 or 10 inches of it. It's a beauty no doubt. I bet the owner has close to 20k in it if he's paying retail.

Well this is not a permanent vehicle for us. We plan to sell it sometime this year. I put most of my drag racing energy into the 5er. We are going to run 225/50/15 on oem basketweaves on the street. Those tires will be useless at the track. I figure intercooled it will run 13.50s at 110mph on street tires and mid to high 12s on drag tires. I am not sure how far I intend to go with the effort.

I was a little off on my eintercooler measurement for the dinan car. 5.5" thick, 20" tall, and 12" wide. Here is a link for info about the car http://www.sterling-carcare.com/Perf.../dinan-m3.html .

15" Euro baskets? I would be beyond impressed if you could dip the car into the 12's.Originally posted by TCD1/4 mile
