Traffic court question

Mariano, i was going to suggest the trial by written declaration. that is how i am dealing with my Bfest ticket.

I have taken tickets to court, and expected the cop to show up. But 2 times the prosecuter was like "Mr. Koser, you are excused, the officer failed to show up, please sign here and you are free to go".

Its a a 50/50 shot if the cop shows. I would usually delay the trial as many times as i can. (One time in Kansas I moved the date back a year and a half) and by that time the cop prob didn't even know wtf was going on. Unfortunatly in california you can only get one extension which is ghey.

Im the last person to think all corny like that, but once you reach a certain age, the stakes get higher and you can think on another plane.

very wise and true words. It's amazing how as you get older you actually figure some things out ;)....

fight the ticket if you can... i read somewhere once that if everyone who recieved a speeding ticket contested it the legal system would be so flooded and cops would have to make so many court appearances that bassically tickets would cease to be issued as there would not be the man power to deal with it. Make yourself as aware of your rights as possible and use all tools at your disposal.

I would also recommend figuring out how to control yourself and slow the fuck down. There are a ton of places to speed that will not involve cops, just be smart about it.

i wish speeding ticket threads could be filtered out somehow or be prevented from being created. i'm glad parker referenced the sticky about tickets because nobody ever seems to read it. i'm sure i'm not the only one tired of reading the same stupid offenses everytime, not to mention all the same statements, opinions, and arguments. this is the last one i'm ever reading.

Funny because that thread is no longer stickied. I had a valid question that I wanted answered and thats all, no crying, no complaining. I also don't understand how you can be "tired of reading the same stupid offenses everytime" considering I haven't seen a thread about a ticket in a long time. I dont see why the racial bullshit doesnt get edited out. Completely uncalled for. The guy gets reproached for complaining about getting caught doing something illegal (for which it seems hes so law-abiding since hes talking shit about others breaking the law entering the country) and his first reaction is to get racist. Its amazing the ignorance that still permeates society. Ill get off my burro now and go make a bunch of babies while drinking cerveza after doing some of the most difficult physical labor for 10 hours straight. :)
