Bmw 20 to 16 pin adapter

BMW 20 pin to 16 pin obd2 connector is bmw diagnostic adapter. BMW 20 pin to 16 pin obd2 female adapter connector support bmw 1986-2001. Adapter for BMW 20PIN male connector to OBD2 16PIN female connector from ADKtech.

Does anyone know if this tool would work to check engine lights and reset service lights? It doesn't seem like it would work.

you aren't going to be able to do much with an E30 DME. just do the stomp test, these cars are pretty dumb.

also those adapters are really shitty quality.

Will that with an obd2 actually show me a code? There's one for 9 bucks so it can't hurt to try. Id rather not try and count the number of blinks or sounds as just be able to hook it up and find everything fast

I doubt ODBII scanners have the communication protocol to communicate with the e30 DME but I could be wrong. I'm fairly certain it wont work.

Might not be totally useless as I have heard of being able to hook up a snap on Modis to e30s granted there's not much you can do but I believe it's possible. But as stated the stomp test is about all the diagnostic ability the stock DME can provide
