        I've bilked these resources already.

        convo is at a standstill.

I'm not dealing with him anymore.

if he wants to sell his "highperformance built" drivetrain, he's gotta have a little give..like information to start with.

...but that voice in my head tells me it COULD be something totally awesome...but is likely not.

Is this the same voice that told you to take your wife's car to the big box store to get the starter replaced?

the very same voice that reasoned with me to get the starter replaced at a shop as I wasn't in any mood to wrestle with a Ford Focus in -30C Canadian winter outside.

                  Getting Vin on Saturday.

He's telling me now it's a straight 6 with 6spd tranny never split from an m5.

Sounds like the seller got taken for a ride when he bought it to swap into his pickumup truck.

Said he pulled it himself over a decade ago after the cAr was rear ended...swore up and down it's an m5 engine.
It doesn't look like an s38, (5spd anyhow) and that's no s85 lol

Anxious to find out what it really is.

Definitely not a s38 that at the most could be a euro spec s50

Real question is how much does he want and what the condition

                            That's not a euro s50, no ITB's. It is either an M50 or US S50. OBD1 intake.

S54B32 swap in progress. Status: Getting There

its probably just an old ragged out M50

Early M50 and S50 both had cast iron manifolds. Switch to stainless came with ODB2 in 96.
