    I'm Confused...

Alright in my school parking i saw a blue e30 that was quite beat up. After a quick look i got confused. It says 325e on the back, has eta cluster, metal bumpers, but has the 89+ taillights, and the front valence of a i/is just missing the fron i or is spoiler. So i'm really confused what this car originally was. what do you guys think?

      no, 1988 never had a 325e. only a 325.

Production of the post-facelift metal bumper cars started in 9/87.

The last 325e was manufactured in june of that year.

CDoos...did the back look like the car in my sig?

Post facelift cars have fat asses.

Pre Facelift is more graceful and raw power.

Yes it did, does your front end have a facelift as well?

I think bimmerphile might be right because the "e" at the end of the 325 looked like someone had put it on themselves, it was a bit crooked. So it must have been a 88 325.

...88 etas have two pipes. Pretty much the same as the "i" exhaust system visually...save a few "minute" differences upfront.
