It will not "grow" on me, and the performance doesn't make up for the fact that it looks like ass. The E36 looks good, the e46 looks OK, after that... forget it.

bmws designs have been going down hill for a long time now, and this is just the newest, hideous, easily mistakeable for a well-priced japaneese sedan, pile of boring awkward-looking shit to come from them. i wasnt a big fan of the e46, but at least it looked mean, graceful-mean. and at least it looked different. take off the roundel and this car could easily be the newest acura.

I love the new cars. Sure, I was unsure about the 5 series when it came out, but what TJ said was true.

These cars look tons better in person. And once you see them in person, you'll love them in all pictures.

i tried to give the z4, the new 7, the new 5, the bennefit of the doubt and say "maybe i'll like them in person" but i dont. they look like mutant toyotas...and not even cool mutants like the X-men.

Nobody's copying bangle's designs. He just makes the cars look like japanese cars, and so when they release new models of the japanese cars, SURPRISE, they look like a BMW.

Lexuses/Acuras/Infinitis have HAD that look for years before they hired bangle.

I'd buy a CLS55 AMG (or the new CLS 63 AMG) over almost any BMW.

That car is literally a work of art. And fast as hell. Granted it's an auto, and not a "sports car" orientation, but the looks and performance are enough for me.

Ah...I dunno. I have a hard time believing that. Maybe I'd need to go thru some old pictures to see if I am wrong. But, I just find it odd that all of a sudden, there's wrap around headlights and a lipped trunk lid on lots of cars these days.

Good example is the new Lexus, whatever it is (I know that doesn't help). But the trunk lid is a SPITTING IMAGE of the 7 - raised up portion an all.

But hey...I'll look into it, maybe I am wrong. ;-)
