I think the M3 would need an S54 to outrun NSX.

M3 for fun, MR2 for daily. NSX is just an overpriced long civic IMO. Flame suit on, I do like them, and do realize what they are, just cant see paying the $$ they asked new for it

                  This.

Both are iconic cars for their own reason, and both have started gaining value to the point of if you don't have one already, your chances of getting one in the future is low..

I always hate comparisons like these, because both of these cars are "car guys" rides. You own one, because you like to drive it.

Anyone heard of Senna? I'll personally take the NSX, but is also one of my favorite cars of all time. I love the e30 M3, but I would much prefer the NSX. Better yet would be the NSX and a non-M e30.

Years ago, before the crazy price spike in E30 M3s, I had said that one of the cars I would gladly trade my M3 straight across for was the NSX.

Of course at the time, that was pretty improbable - a clean early NSX was $30k, and my henna M3 was valued around $15-20k. If the trade happened today, the NSX owner might have had to add money on his end

I think they are brilliant cars. People complain about them being down on power, but the same is said for the E30 M3. Show me another daily driver supercar that breaks necks, handles great, and runs as reliably!

As someone who daily's a Civic, if this is correct then wow. That would make the NSX almost unbearably boring to drive. It also means that they missed the whole purpose behind building a super car.

My Civic is an incredibly uninspiring, point A to point B with zero grins given type of car. Each time I drive my e30 it puts a smile on my face and feels inspired.

I find it interesting that you're not the only one making this comparison. It seems like the e30 wins hands down from that perspective. Will people look at the NSX more? Sure. But people looking at my car does literally NOTHING for me. It's how the car feels that matters.

If you want people to stare at your car, get some clapped out Miata and UFO the tires and drag your crap exhaust around behind you while you go 0-30 in 14 seconds...

I hear what you are saying, but the NSX prices are going up faster than just about any car out there. If you type "Acura NSX" into ebay, you will see what they are going for. Aside from 2 salvage titled NSX's, the price ranges from $45k - $150k.

                                I'd take a M3 over a NSX, but I'd rather have a 325i over a M3
