I still can't figure out how to post a bit larger of a pic!!!:-x damnit....

I've always loved new parts in their plastic wraps and boxes. It's like being a child and buying one more G.I. Joe to add to the collection.

From what I can see, you can install 100% of that on your own for no cost.

Well, if he isn't too technically inclined, having someone in the know put all that in for a couple of c-notes is nothing to put down. Any shop will charge you double that....maybe even a bit more.

At least he's taking care of his E30 rather than run it into the ground like a dolt.

I can install myself + I don't want too + I owe my cousin + he makes love to all cars he works on + I don't want to + my time is limited + $200 is not much to have someone else, who by the way makes love to all cars he works on, do it + I get to watch + it's hot as fuck already in Texas + I just don't want to do it + ok + I just don't... = $200 labor to my cuz, why...... cuz it makes more sense to me. :) Nothing like a Brasil bbq, while drinking some German biers while watching the hot chicks in the complex roll by while witnessing the E30 being worked on by blood! ahh......

Bro! I appreciate those words! Too me, there is nothing like the feeling of buying the parts and having them installed and then riding into the sunset thinking "At least he's taking care of his E30 rather than run it into the ground like a dolt."

I'm like that, only worse - I find it challenging to install it on the car - I want to keep it in the box, shiny and new :) Then I realize my car fucking needs it, and do it :) Still sad to see it go from shiny and new to used...

Don't get me wrong bro(S), I know it is the ultimate to buy and intall yourself.. don't take me for the complete incompetent that can't and won't, it's just I have long since had Gustavo, my blood, just as compulsive as me, cousin, pro-tech there for me, instal while we talk, shoot the shit, etc.. to install it for me. The labor charges or love. That's how it is....

eventually, some of the people on this board will get real jobs and realise that $100 is not a significant amount of money. :)

You've officially hit your "bro" limit :)

Nando is trying to point out that $200 is a GREAT deal for the work you're getting done. It's just the majority of the board see it as a lot of money that could be saved by doing it yourself - IF you have the time.

If you don't - and believe me, I know about not having enough time - get it done cheap. And that's what you're doing. :)

Then felch tubchick, and do my timing belt... I'll give you $100.00 and a breath mint.

With what a PITA some of this stuff is, why not pay? As long as you know it is being done correctly. Who wouldn't pay $100 to have subframe bushings installed?

Remember, time is money. I always equate time on car with my wage, and if I am way upside down, I'll do it myself...Such as Land Rover brakes. $118.00 from Patrick for rotors, pads, hardware. 3-4 hours labor...vs. 5-700 at the Land Rover/BMW $tealer.
