thing is.....anywhere between all of us in the U.S. is thousands of miles away from any discernable civilization. I had this idea 4 years ago and I had no bites. And that was when gas was at 1.80. You think E30 dudes are gonna pay for hotel rooms? I would definitely be down if it was serious though. Ive always wanted to do this.

It is equal distant for people from Oregon and British Columbia, FWIW. I understand a couple of E30s from California are thinking of making the trek up again this year. There is a "furthest traveled" award given at the Picnic.

I just drove my (ex) cabrio from 700 miles south of Laredo to L.A. A total of 2200 miles. Made it stress free @ an average of 26mpg.

A well maintained e30 will drive forever.
