Spend a day throwing it around various corners on a track before you start to mod it. Doing this will give you a good base line idea of what its handling is like and then determine where you want to invest your money.

Normally to each his own, but are you for real? These are your top two best mods under $200?
Just out of curiosity, are you basing that on a car that's already modded, or are you saying that these are the first two mods you should do?
Chip, ssk, general maintenance (brakes, as mentioned), bushings - all would make a WORLD of difference compared to a 25mm master cylinder - which, by the way, won't do squat for your braking performance if your pads and/or rotors are worn - or an e30 m3 rearview mirror.

They are just the top two I enjoy every day when I drive my car. I really love the 25mm MC and not having the built in maplights in the rear view mirror is a PITA I think, the side lights dont do jack at night.
I wasnt thinking general maintenance counted as a "mod" its general maintenance. Replacing brakes, fluids, and bushings is not a mod, it should be done if you want to keep your car driving.

See, now that's a much better explanation. Now that you've clarified yourself, it makes a lot more sense :)
It's all too often the noobs have a stock car that needs work and come bowling on here blubbering about neon lights or hot 17" rims for their car, while in the same post mention the car's overdue for a t-belt by 20k miles and they have $178 from their minimum wage job to spend.
