E30 318is Worth it?

I was driving past this autobody shop and I saw the E30. I have an E46 so I'm a fanatic and I wanted to see how much it is. Yes, it has a rocker panel rust and some rear fender rust. The underbelly is pretty dang clean and the only thing that is concerning me is the brake line, they have some rust on them. What do you think?

It's on the rear fender lip, the rocker, and the lower bit of the door. Only on the driver side though. the rocker would need replaced. The new bumper is provided. 1200 negotiable. He said it drives well so I am thinking I will do on a test drive, but like I said the frames are solid sooooo.

The undercarriage isnt very rusty. I own a welder and my dad is a great fabricator. So I know i could do it.

start a bit low. I am afraid of rust, and I have one that I think is worse then I know.

Here is the worst of it. The rest of the car is not rusty.

That looks rusty as fuck. The rubberized coating is peeling off on the rockers and rear valance, as Im sure you are aware. Not good. I bet the floors and battery box are toast. No way that is worth $1200.

That is the weird part, the floors arent rusty =/

The most destructive rust is the stuff you can't see. I guarantee that there is rust inside of the panels on this car.

If you think you can handle it though, go for it. It looks straigght otherwise.

Yeah, I guarantee there's at least 2x the rust you see now. I don't think I could justify paying more than $500 for that car.
